To the Sheriffe of S^t Maries County his Dep^ty or
Deputyes.

Idem to the Sheriffe of Kent &c: with this alteracon Viz.

to make choyce one, 2, or 3, Burgesses &c.

The ffreemen of S^t Maries hund^d earnestly request the Gou^r
to giue them power of choosing 2 Burgesses, alleaging that
hund^d to bee the ancientest hund^d & the first seated w^thin this
province vnder his L^ps gouerm^t who granted their request &
desyre accordingly.

5^o Aprilis 1650 By the Lef^t &c of Mary-Land.

The ffreemen of th^t part of this province of Mary Land now
called Providence being by my appoyntm^t duely summoned to
this present Assembly did unanimously make choyce of m^r
George Puddington, & m^r James Coxe for their Burgesses I
being there in p^rson at that time.

These summons was duly exequuted, & by vertue thereof I
was by the maior part of the ffreemen chosen Burgesse for the
Isle of Kent County, which I doe certify in returne hereof

summoned according to the direction of these summons, & have
