At the Court att Whitehall the 1st Ianuary 1690/1

A Report from the Right Honble the Lords of the Committee
of Trade and Plantations being this day presented to his
Majesty in Councill in the words following,

May it please your Majesty
In obedience to your Majesty's Order in Councill of the
20th of Nov: last wee have been attended by the Lord Balte-
more Lord Proprietary of Maryland of the one Part and by
Mr Coode and Mr Cheseldyne deputies of that convention of
that Province of the other and have heard both Parties by
their Councill learned in in the lawes, as well upon the Petition
of the Lord Baltemore and of severall inhabitants of Maryland
against the said Coode and Cheseldyne as upon the Petition
and Articles exhibited by the said Coode and Cheseldyne
against the Lord Baltemore his deputies and Officers in Mary-
land and haveing also perused clivers papers received from
the Lord Baltemore and the present Convention in Maryland
respectively.
We most humbly offer that the severall matters in differ-
ance be referred to the examination of the Governor that shall
be sent thither by your Majesty's directions, who may report
to your Majesty how he shall find the same and in the mean
time we are humbly of opinion that Coll: Henry Darnell and
Richard Hill who have given bond for their good behaviour
for words alleadged to be spoken against your Majesty before
your accession to the Crowne and the late Act of Indemnity
may be released of their Baile and discharged from any further
attendance on that occasion
All which is most humbly submitted

His Majesty in Councill was pleased to approve the said
Report and to Order as it is hereby Ordered thl the Right
Honble the Earle of Nottingham his Majesty's principall secre-
tary of State do prepare instructions under his Majesty's
signe manuell and signe according for the Governor that shall
be sent to Maryland by his Majesty's directions and that in
the mean time the said Coll: Henry Darnell and Richard Hill be
as they are heareby released from their baile and discharged
from their further attendance upon the Occasion mentioned in
the said Report.
