constructed there; they also contract with Thomas Smyth

Esquire for building two Gondolas upon Terms and Condi-
tions hereafter to be agreed on.
Permit granted to Mr Hodges' Boat to take in and trans-
port live Stock and fresh Provision from Rock-Hall to Annap-
olis, and to such Man of War as shall come up for Governor
Eden for his intended Voyage to England.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Messrs Galloway and Steward five hundred Pounds common
money on Account of the Gondolas by them to be built.
Ordered That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Smyth
Esqr two hundred Pounds common money on Account of the
Gondolas to be built by him.
Mr Smyth has Leave of Absence for a few Days.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Mr John Muir to be lodged in the Hands of Charles Wallace
Esquire Paymaster two thousand five hundred Pounds common
money.
Copy of Letter No 12 was sent to Capt Rezin Beall, and
Copy of No 13 to the Committee of Observation for Calvert
County.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Messrs John and Walter Hanson (the youngest) five hundred
Pounds common Money to enable them to erect a Powder Mill
agreeable to the Resolutions of the late Convention.
Adjourned till next Day 10 O'Clock.

To William Hindman Esqr
Sir.
We send you enclosed an order on yourself to the pay-
master of the Eastern Shore for £2000, but before he draws
the money you will be pleased to see that a Bond is executed
(if not already done) with condition herein mentioned in the
penalty of £5000 Currency, payable to the Honble Matthew
Tilghman and James Lloyd Chamberlaine Esqrs which you will
hereafter transmit to us.
