Commission issued to Benjamin Mackall, William Alnut,
Isaac Clare William Lyles & Thomas Holland appointed
Judges of the Court of Appeals for Calvert County — also to
Solomon Wright, Nathaniel Wright, John Brown Jonathan
Hall and Thomas Wright appointed Judges of the Court of
Appeals for Queen Annes County
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Pere-
grine Letherbury One hundred and eight Pounds for the use of
Robert Blake and sixty eight Pounds, twelve shillings for the
use of James Armstrong per accts passed by the Principal
Clerk to the Auditor General
That the said Treasurer Pay to John Laypold two hundred
& sixty six Pounds, fifteen Shillings & eight Pence farthing
and the further Sum of thirty eight Pounds eight Shillings &
three Pence due to him per Accts passed by the Principal
Clerk to the Auditor
That the said Treasurer Pay to Robert Reid one hundred
and seventy Pounds due to him according to his Contract
with the Governor & Council for Forty Muskets with
Bayonets @ £ 5..10 pr stand deducting therefrom for each
stand one pound four shillings for the Barrels found bv the
Public
That the Sheriff of Frederick County pay to Colo William
Beatty One thousand Pounds to be expended in the purchase
of Provisions
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut Colo
Samuel Smith 52 Coats, 36 Blankets 89 pair Shoes & 97
pair Stockings for the fourth Regiment.
Solomon Kinnamon who was enlisted as a Marine in the
Chester Galley is hereby discharged from the Service being
incapable of Duty from a Sore Leg.

In Council Annapolis 2d June 1778.
Sir.
We have inclosed you an Order on your Sheriff for £1000
Your Accounts very intelligible and formal enough. We
think it will be best to send off the Bacon immediately, as it
may be used before it spoils; probably it may be wanted at
York; you would do well to give the Waggoners Orders to
call on the Commissary there and, if he wants it, to deliver it
