That the said Commissary of Store deliver to John Cox
check for two pair Trousers
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to Edward
Edgerly Cloathing for twenty Recruits of the second Regi-
ment per Order sent
Peter Moor of Annapolis, Samuel Owings, Thomas Owings
and Alexander Wells of Baltimore County took the Oath of
Fidelity & Support to this State according to the late Act &
Certificates given
Mr Jacob Giles having laid before this Board Letters from
his Son Aquila Giles now a Prisoner in Philadelphia desiring
that a Waggon may be sent with Provisions for his Subsistance
and to defray his necessary Expenses. And also a Letter from
General Smallwood of the 3oth March desiring that Aquila
Giles's Request may be complied with and promising to forward
the Provisions to the Middle Ferry on Skuylkil with a Flagg.
It is therefore permitted on the Request of the said Jacob
Giles that he send the Provisions in a Waggon to General
Smallwood at Wilmington for his further Orders therein who
will or will not Permit them to go forward as he may judge
proper and all Persons within this State are required and those
in the neighbouring States are requested to permit Mr Giles's
Waggon to Pass to and from Wilmington on the said Business
It appearing by a Certificate from the Clerk of Prince
Georges County that the Reverend Mr John Bowie has taken
the Oath of Fidelity to this State and Subscribed the same
agreeable to Act of Assembly and there having been no Com-
plaints made before this Board of any misconduct of the said
Bowie since his entering into Bond the 29 of March 1777, It
is ordered that he be permitted to go at Large
Ordered That the Western shore Treasurer Pay to Lieut
Allison three hundred and sixty Dollars out of the money sent
by Congress so far as it will go and the residue out of any
other Money he may have making up the Order and charging
the same to the third Regiment for the Recruiting Service

We inclose you an Account of the Expenses of Prisoners
in this State so far as the Claims could be collected, though,
we are apprehensive some have not come in owing to the
Want of a regular Manner of doing Business, the Congress

having sent the Prisoners most commonly, to the Committees
of Observation and the Advances or Payments by this State
