Ordrd that Coll Ion Thompson and Mr Michaell Miller Carry
the said Bill to his Excy and Councill who returne and say
they have dd the same.

By the house of Dellegates Iuly 22d 1699.

The Message this day sent in relation to the Honble Wm
Blathwayt Esqr has bee read and Considered and we humbly
pray to be Excused at this time for Settling any anuall Sallary
or allowance on the sd Wm Blathwayt Esqr
Signed p Ordr Chr. Gregory Clk house of Dell.

Ordrd that Dr Iacob Loockerman Carry the said Message
to his Excy and Councill who returne & say they have Deliverd
the same
The honble Coll Ion Courts & Mr Thos Brookes bring Back
the Sevrall Bills assented to by this house Endorsed assented
to by his Majtys Honble Council
Read the following address to his Majtye

Maryland
The Humble and Loyall address of yor Majtyes most Duty-
full and Loyall Subjects the Burgesses Delegates and Repre-
sentatiues of the SeVall Countyes of your Majtyes Province of
Maryland now Conveened in a Genll Assembly of the said
Province under your Majtes Govr and Capt Genll of this Pro-
vince his Excy Nathaniell Blakistone Esqr

May it please yor Majtye
Wee yor Majtyes Most Dutifull and Loyall Subjects the Dele-
gates & Representatives of the Sevrall Countyes in this yor
Majtyes Province of Maryland doe in most Humble Mannor
make our addresses to yor Majty on the behalf of many Gent
Mrchts & others by us Represented who Cannot avoyd utter
& Irrecoverable Ruine Except yor Majtyes Royall Clemencey
prevent it the Case may It please yor Majtye is this that many
masters of Shipps formerly tradeing into this Province did not
give Bond in England but Comeing hither the Masters of such
Uessells have Drawne many of the good Inhabitants of this
Province to be come theire Securityes that they should Deliver
their Tobacco or other Commodityes as Act of Navigation
Requires yet such Dishonest & Ungratefull Masters Neglect-
ing theire Duty to yor Majtye & theire Promise to their friends
not pforming the Conditions of their Bonds or Careless to
