Your peticoner therefore humbly prays yor Excys consider-
acon of the premises and place to recomend the same to the
house of Dellegates that some Ordinance may pass this Genll
Assembly for your pet to have the privileidge to take up one
Acre or lott of land neare Seavorne river on the Towne Com-
mon and yor peticoner shall Comply with the Act of Assembly
for purchase and building
And yor petr as in duty bound shall ever pray which said
peticon was thus endorsd

By the Govr and Councill in Assembly
June 26 1702

This peticon recomended to the house of Dellegates and
granted if the house thinks fitt

The within peticon and the Councill's Resolve thereupon
was here read and by this house resolved they concurr there-
with and grant'd that the Petr have and enjoy such lott or Acre
of land to be taken up and built upon to him and his heires
for ever as fully and Amply as any prsons whatsoever that
built in the Towne pursuant to the Act of Assembly

The Address to her Sacred Majly returnd to the house
Signed by the Govr and honoble Councill and then was signd
in this house by the honoble Speaker and the rest of the Mem-
bers of the house of Dellegates And Ordd to be entred in the
Journall as followeth vizt

To the Queens most Excellt Majesty

The humble Address of yor Majts most dutyfull
and Loyall Subjects the Councill and
Dellegates of the Assembly of
Your Majesty's Province
of Maryland.

Sad and Dismall was the News of the Death of our late
Gracious Sovereigne Lord William the Third of Ever blessed
memory whose Royall Virtues and heroick Atchievmts in
restoreing and Establishing the reformd Religion and main-
tayning the Just Libertys of his Subjects had rendred his per-
son most Deare and his memory most fragrant to all his
loving Subjects and particularly to us who had Allways our
