think it reasonable to turn the publick Records out of the
House whereby they may be exposed yet we are obliged to
give you warning to provide an House for her Majesty's
Council to sit in for we are resolved on the 3d of May next to
lock up the Doors of the said Council Chamber and seeing
we have made you the first Offer and given you such fair
Caution we hope neither you nor any others will think the
Country anywise unhandsomely dealt with by us.

Upon reading the within Message this House proposes and
do offer 20ll Sterling for one Years Rent of the whole School
House if the Visitors of the Free School please to concur

Which was returned back and this Day was again brought
into the House with the following Indorsment. By the Rector
Governor & Visitors of the Free School April 19th 1706. We
do agree to the Offer of the House of Delegates

Mr John Contee sent up to the Council with the Addresses
and is likewise ordd to acquaint his Excellency that this House
having no Matters of Moment before them so that the House
is ready to wait of his Excellency and her Majesty's Honble
Council to conclude this Session when his Excy shall please to
command them. He returns and acquaints Mr Speaker that
his Excellency says he waits their coming up to the Council
Chamber. Upon which Mr Speaker and the whole House
attended his Excellency and Council at the Council Chamber
and carried with him the several Bills following which he pre-
sented to his Excellency Vizt.
Bill for Advancement of Trade and erecting Ports and
Towne in the Province of Maryland
2. A Bill encouraging the making Hemp and Flax
3. A Bill prohibiting the Importation of European Com-
modities.
4. A Bill declaring several Acts of Parliament of the King-
dom of England to be in force in this Province.
5. A Bill for dividing and regulating several Counties on
the Eastern Shore and erecting a new County by the Name
of Queen Ann's County.
6. A Bill erecting a Parish on the North Side of Elk River
in Cecil County.
