by Col Holland and four other members of your Board and
know not how you can interpret our message this morning to
reflect on your Honours when we never designed it
We cannot help your differing in Judgement from us but
since you must own we more immediately represent the People
than your honble Board you must allow us to know more of
their oppressions and we offer the properest remedys we can
to relieve them
We have no design to interrupt a good Correspondence
with you and were not conscious to our Selves we had any
just or colourable reasons you would reject any of the Bills
We have proposed this Session. And tho you say you en-
deavoured to redress the greatest Aggrievance we represented
at the beginning of this Session We must affirm & can justify
It was hardly obtained and had not this Assembly been called
there would have been no occasion for desiring it

We shall not further press your Honours in these matters
but hope ere long a Capt General will arrive fully instructed
impowered & inclined to relieve us out of the Aggrievances
and Oppressions We must till then passively endure

The Board adjourned until eight of the Clock to morrow

Saturday November the 15th 1712

The Council Sate Present as yesterday save Mr Hall who
had leave to go home on urgent occasions
Resolved that the Honble President and Council will ad-
dress her most Sacred Majesty to thank her for her gracious
Care and protection of us and her Steady and unwearied
Endeavours to procure us an honourable and a lasting Peace
and especially to thank her Majesty for notifying the Suspen-
sion of Arms agreed upon by her with the most Christian
King.
And the said Address being drawn up It was sent to the
House of Delegates to peruse and if they pleased to join
therein

Sent by Col Addison
Ordered that Mr Samuel Worthington Mr Benjamin Wailes
and Mr Thomas Hicks or either of them go to the Nanticoke
Indians and acquaint them of the Law we have now made in
their favour and of the penaltys our Laws inflict on the Several
Breaches thereof by Felonys Burglarys Larcenys Menaces
Batterys and the like misdemeanours And that we expect
