County Courts of this Province in all Actions that exceed ten
pounds Sterl or two thousd pounds of tobo

Who made Choice of Col Wm Holland for their Chairman
& Edmond Benson for their Clerk.

And then proceeded to the Matters given them in Charge,
which being fully debated & considered we humbly report
our opinion as follows

U. H. J.

That all Attornys practising in the Several County Courts
of this Province shall have for their fee in any Case where
the real Debt sued for or the Ballance recovered exceeds the
sum of ten pounds Sterl or two thousd pounds of Tobo the
sum of two hundd pounds of tobo And that any Attorny prac-
tising in the sd Courts that shall refuse to prosecute or defend
the Cause of any Person or Persons making Application to
any Attorny of the sd Courts unless before retained having
the sd Fee paid or secured to be paid him or that shall ask
receive or demand in any such Action by any Colour or pre-
text whatsoever more than the sd Fee shall forfeit & pay the
sum of five hundred pounds of Tobo one half thereof to our
Sovereign Lady the Queen for the support of Governmt the
other half to him or them that will sue for the same to be
recovered by Action of Debt Bill Plaint or Information there-
after to be suspended his Practise in the sd Court for & during
one whole year.

We are further humbly of opinion that a Clause relating to
the above Premisses be added to the Bill for reviving the Act
for Officers' Fees which we humbly refer to your Honour's
Consideration

Tyler and five others and Endorsed by the House of Dele-
gates.
