of our present Establishment which all of us have Expressed
ourselves so entirely well satisfyed withall, But Observe to
you that if his Lordship had not already made a Disposition
in that Affair and to two such worthy Gentlemen, we shou'd
then have concurd heartily with you in our Endeavours for
acquiring so good a fund towards the Support of Free schools
within this Province. And further his Lordship's Comands
being absolute to his Excellency as you will observe by the
Instruction already sent you and the necessity of the regula-

house We desire you will take this Affair again into your
Consideration.

His Excellency Offers to the Consideration of this house
part of the Tenth Article of their Lordships Instructions Viz.

Article loth. Whereas many laws which were made before
the Crown interposed in the Government of Maryland appear
to be nulled or at least laid aside by some subsequent Laws
which were made dureing their Majestys Rule And are yet
Essentiall to the peace & Quiet of the people of the Province
under the protection & Governmt of a Propry as well as to his
honour & Safety. Presidents whereof you may find among
these made in 1681 And none seems to be more Essentiall than
an Act which you are to Endeavour to pass for punishmt of
such as shall Counterfeit our great Scale

His Excellency having Offered to the Consideration of this
house a part of the Tenth Article of their Lordships Instruc-
tions to him, have herewith sent it to you Viz.
