Rousby Esqr
An Engrossed bill from the lower House by Col. Fendall and Mr
Hanson Entituled an Act to Enable the Clerk of the Provincial Court
or the Clerk of Baltemore County Court to Record a Deed of Bar-
gaine & Sale from Thomas Gibson to James Kingsbury and to make
the same Deed Valid thus Subscribed.

29th July 1731

Philip Lee Esqr and Col. John Rider are Sent to the Lower House
to Acquaint the Speaker and the whole House that His Excellency
requires their Attendance in the Upper House to see the Laws past
this Session: Receive the Assent.
The whole House Attend and by their Speaker present to His
Excellency the following Laws.

The Act Entituled an Act to prevent the Infection & spreading
of the Smal Pox from a Vessell belonging to Amos Woodward
Merchant being Signed & Assented to before, was Signed and As-
sented to on behalfe of the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary
of this Province by his Excellency the Governour and sealed with his
Lordships Great Scale at Arms.
The Titles of which Laws are as follows Viz.

Chap. VIII

No I . An Act Impowering the Justices of Calvert County to Levy
on the Taxable persons of that County any Sume of Tobacco not
Exceeding Ten Thousand pounds of Tobacco to pay for the finishing
the Court House of the said County.
No 2. An Act for the Continuance of Process in Baltemore
County Court.
No 3. An Act to Encourage the makeing of Linnen Cloths within
this Province of Flax or Hemp of the Growth thereof.
