Read the Petition of Several the Inhabitants of Somerset County
praying Leave to bring in a Bill to erect a new Court house and
Prison at Princess Ann Town in said County and also to sell the
Old Court House and the Land whereon it stands to defray Part
of the Charges thereof; and referred to the Consideration of the
Lower house of Assembly; the above Petitions sent by Edmond
Jenings Esqr

A Message from the Lower house by Messrs Hanson and Ma-
gruder

By the Lower House of Assembly 2 Ist March 1733
May it please Your Honours
This House being of Opinion that it will be of very great Ser-
vice to the Province in General, that the Circulation of the Bills of
Credit be as speedy as possible, especially so much of them as may
enable the People to discharge such Part of their Levies as they
legally may in the said Bills, And therefore we propose that the
Commissioners be empowered to employ such and so many Clerks
as they shall think proper to assist in dating and numbering the
Bills of Credit at the publick Charge and desire Your Concurrence
therein

By the Upper House of Assembly 21st March 1733
Gentlemen

This House concurs with Your Message by Col Hanson and Mr
Magruder in Relation to the Necessity of expediting the Bills of
Credit for the Purposes therein mentioned which will undoubtedly
be of Great Service to the Country
