Edmund Jennings Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr
Speaker a petition of Col Saml Young Indorsed, Recommended by
the Upper House which was Read and Referred for further Con-
sideration.
Michl Howard Esqr from the Upper House Delivers Mr Speaker
Representations from the Severall Grand Jurys of St Marys Charles
and Prince Georges Countys praying an Act to Burn Trashey To-
bacco Referred here.
A Bill Entituled an Act reviving and Continuing an Act of As-
sembly of this Province Entituled an Act to prevent Cutting up To-
bacco Plants Destroying of Tobacco and Tobacco Houses and for
Ascertaining the Punishment of Criminals Guilty of the said Of-
fence read the first time and ordered to Lye on the Table. Ordered
the Committee of Laws Employ a Clerk Assistant to The Clerk of
their Committee, A Bill Reviving and Continuing an Act of Assem-
bly Entituled An Act for the Speedy Recovery of Small Debts out
of Court before a Single Justice of the Peace Read the first time and
Ordered to Lye on the Table.
The House Adjourns untill two of the Clock in the Afternoon

George Plater Esqr from the Upper house Delivers Mr Speaker
a Petition of Andrew Gray of Dorchester County Praying leave to
Bring in a Bill to Cut of the Intail of a Certain Tract of Land Lying
in the County aforesaid, and to Intail Other Lands of Equal Value
in Lieu thereof a Petition of Several Freehoulders of Cecil County.
Praying leave to Bring in a Bill to Erect a Town at Penningtons
Point And a Petition of the Vestry of Durham Parish in Charles
County praying Leave to Bring in a Bill to Levy 20,000 pounds of
Tobacco Toward Building a Church Severally Referred here The
Question was put, that a Bill be Brought in, to Destroy Trashey
Tobacco
Resolved in the Negative.
