of the two thousand eight hundred & forty four Pounds, eighteen
shillings due them per Accounts passed. —

and Mary Jones nine Pounds, nineteen shillings and six Pence of the

premium for manufacturing Salt per Account passed. —
Permission is hereby given to Anthony Addison of Prince Geoc
County to apply to his Excellency General Washington or the Officers
commanding at the Out Posts of the American Army for Leave to
have an interview on the Lines with the Revd Mr Henry Addison.—
The Intendant informs the Board, that he has found by experience
that the flour manufactured in the different Counties will scarcely
ever pass Inspection, that the transportation of Wheat to places of
Market amounts to more than the difference of prices in the Counties
and at the market places — Wherefore he proposes to sell the Wheat
at the places where it is received and to stop the manufacturing of
it into flour, which was agreed to by the Board. —

[Council to The Chevr De la Valette]

Capt. Colder returns to Baltimore, to procure Quarters for such of
your Officers as are not already provided for. In executing this
Business we have directed him to take your Orders, as to the Room
necessary for each Officer. We should be very happy if the Situation
of the Town would permit every Gentleman to be quartered in the
most agreeable and the most commodious Manner, but as some of
the Inhabitants complain of being subjected to great Inconveniencies,
in Consequence of their Houses being occupied, we doubt not the
Officers would rather submit to be a little straintened in their Accom-
modations, than give any just Cause of Uneasiness. We are informed
that one Officer has an entire House with five Rooms, to himself, and
that another large House is occupied by three Officers, a Captn and
two Subalterns.
