The House met,
J. Hammond Esq :r M :r Heath and M.r Ward Appeared in the
House.
M:r Bealle is Added to the Committee appointed to inspected the
Publick Offices and Records &c.
On Motion of Tho :s Ringgold Esq :r leave is given to bring in a
Bill for regulating Innholders and Ordinary keepers within this
Province Ordered that T. Ringgold. T. Johnson and J. Hall Esq :rs
do prepare and bring in a bill accordingly
On Motion of T. Ringgold Esq :r leave is given to bring in a
Bill for Licensing Hawkers and Pedlars Ordered That T. Ringgold
S. Wilson. J. Hollyday J. Hall and S. Chase Esq:rsdo prepare and
bring in a Bill

On Motion of M :r J. Goldsborough, Ordered that a Committee
be Appointed to enquire what Laws will expire with the close of
this Session unless re Enacted And that M :r J. Goldsborough
Col.o Henry and Samuel Chase Esq :r be a Committee for that
Purpose and that they make Report thereof to the House
On Motion of M :r J. Goldsborough that the Committee of Ac-
counts had made Choice of Thomas Duckett to be their Clerk
Assistant to the said Committee the House Approved thereof,
Ordered that he [be] qualified in the usual manner

M:r Henry Hall Acquaint M.r Speaker that Tho:s Duckett had
taken the several Oaths to the Government required by Law Sub-
scribed the Oath of Abjuration repeated and Signed the Test and
took the following Oath of Office Viz :l You Thomas Duckett do
Swear that you will true Entrys make of all such Matters and
things as shall be to you directed by any Committee of the Lower
House of Assembly for whom you shall Act as Clerk and that you
will not divulge the Secrets of the said House of Assembly or of
any Committee thereof but will in all things well and truly demean
yourself according to the best of your knowledge So help you God
