Thursday 27:th May 1766
The House met.

the Report made by the Committee Appointed to inspect into the
State and Condition of the several Publick Offices was read the
Second time and the House Concurs therewith

On Motion Ordered that an Address be prepared to the Governor
relative to the aforesaid Report and that the Committee Appointed
to inspect the State of the Publick Offices do Prepare and bring in
the same

An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act continuing an Act Entituled
an Act to prevent [Disabled and] Superannuated Slaves being Set
free or Manumission of Slaves by any last Will or Testament

An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act to vest the Title of and in a
certain Lot or Parcel of Land in John Jeremiah Myar
An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the relief of certain
Languishing Prisoners in the several Goals therein mentioned

An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act directing a Copy of the last
Will and Testament of Col.o Henry Bouquet to be Recorded in the
Prerogative Office of this Province and for other Purposes therein
mentioned

An Ingrossed Bill Entituled an Act for the Tryal of All matters
of fact in the several Countys where they have arisen or shall arise
And an Ingrossed Bill Entituled a Supplementary Act to an Act
Entitled an Act for the Speedy Tryal of all Criminals and Ascertain-
ing their Punishment in the County Courts when Prosecuted there
and for Payment of fees due from Criminal Persons

Were Severally Read and Assented to and sent to the Upper
House with the Paper Bills thereof by M.r Wright and Mr J: Adams

T. Johnson Esq.r brings in and delivers to M.r Speaker an Address
to the Governor which he read in his Place and delivered in at the
Table which was read a first and Second time by the Clerk Ap-
proved and Ordered to be Ingrossed
B. Calvert Esq.r from the Upper House delivers to M.r Speaker
the Bill Entituled an Act reviving and Continuing of Actions and
Process in several of the Courts of Law within this Province
/Indorsed/ By the Upper House of Assembly 26.th May 1766 Read
the first time and Ordered to lye on the Table /and thus/ By the
Upper House of Assembly 27.th May 1766. Read the 2.d time and
will Pass
