                 Provincial Court Proceedings, 1677.     83

       selfe against the said John in the plea aforesaid but the said John Liber N N
       came not but made default Whereupon it is granted by the Court
       here That the said Samuel Raspin recover against the Said John
       Allen the summe of fourteene thousand Eight hundred fifty One
       pounds of tobacco the debt aforesaid together with five hundred
       thirty six pounds of tobacco costs of suite & the said John Allen in
       mercy &c.

       Carew & Robt Carvile were sumöned to answer unto John Addison
       exrs Eliz: Moy &c & Rebecca his wife executrix of the last Will
                      & Testament of Thomas Dent deceased of a
       plea that they render unto them the full & just sume or quantity of
       Eighteen hundred pounds of good sound merchantable Tobacco &
       casque which from them they unjustly deteine.
         And whereupon the said John Addison & Rebecca his wife by
       Robert Ridgely their Attorny Say that whereas the said Richard
       Moy in his life time to witt the thirtenth day of October in the
       yeare of Our Lord One thousand Six hundred seventy & three by his
       certaine bill Obligatory Sealed with the seale of the said Richard &
       here in Court produced whose date is the day & yeare aforesaid did
       acknowledge himselfe to be holden & firmly bounden unto the said
       Thomas Dent in the full & just summe or quantity of Eighteene
       hundred pounds of good sound merchantable tobacco in caske to be
       paid unto the said Thomas Dent or to his certaine Attorny his heirs
       exrs & admrs or assignes upon demand To the which payment well &
       truly to be made the Said Richard Moy did bind himselfe his heirs
       executrs & admrs firmly by those prsents Notwithstanding which the
       said Richard Moy in his life time nor the said Elizabeth Since his
