(2. fforfeitures; that Shall happen to fall before you; you Shall cause
to be entered without any Concealement & Certifie the same
to his Lopps: receiver Generall of this Province; you Shall not
Debare or hinder the prosecucon of Justice to take any Gift
bribe or ffee to that intent or delaying of Judgement but
Shall behave your Selfe Justly and truly to the best of your
understanding and power; Soe long as you Shall persist in
this office and untill you Shall be by Lawefull Authority

Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c To my
Trusty and well beloved Stephen Horsy and William Stevens
gent: Greeting: Whereas wee have Lately by our Commission
under our greate Seale of our said Province nominated Con-
stituted and appointed you the said Stephen Horsy and William
Stevens: and the severall other persons in the said Commission
named to be Commrs and Justices for the keeping of our peace in
and for our County of Sommersett with full power and authority
to keepe our County Court there at such dayes and times as
by the Lawe in that Case made is provided; now know you that
wee reposing great trust and Confidence in your fideletys and
provident Circumspections have assigned you and by vertue
of these presents doe give unto you full power and Authority
(you the said Stephen Horsy having first taken the usuall Oath
of Commissioner and Justice of the peace of our Said County
upon the holy Evangelists, which Oath wee doe hereby impower
and Authorize you the said William Stevens duly to admi-
nister to him the said Stephen Horsy And you the said
Stephen having received and taken the said oath wee doe
hereby Authorize you to administer ye Like oath of Comrs:
and Justice of the peace of our said County to him the said
William Stevens which being done and performed that
