Record Book ffor Sommersett County in
the Province of Maryland begunne the
N E 25th: october in the fortieth year of the
Dominion of the Rt: honble: Caecilius Annog

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Know All men by these presents that wee Thomas Meech
and John Meech both late of the Province of Maryland Doe
by these presents make and ordaine Sampson Waters of Boston
in new England Marriner to bee our true and Lawfull Attorney
giveing and grainting to him full power and Authority for us in
our names and to our use to aske Demand & receive all Such
Summes of tobacco or other goods as Shall Legally appear to be due
unto us or either of us from any person in the Province of
Maryland, and espetially from Samuell Chew of Herring Creek
in Ann Arundell County esqr And from mr: George Johnson of
Anamessick in Sommersett County according to their Severall
engagements under their hands, and to give his receipt for
the same and deliver up their engagements; And the said
tobacco or goods to Dispose of according to such order as hee in
writing Shall receive from us or either of us; And whatsoever
Act or thing our said Attorney Shall Lawfully act or doe in
relacon to the power and Commission to him hereby granted
wee the Said Thomas Meech and John Meech Shall ratifie
