House bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 765,
766, 767 and 768 of Article 4, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, as repealed and re-enacted by
the Act of 1898, chapter 123, and to re-enact the same
with amendments. "

Which was read a first time,

Mr. Linthicum, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, with proposed amendments,

House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Register
of Wills for Dorchester county, to make a general index
of certain records of his office. "

AMENDMENT PROPOSED
By Dorchester county delegation:

Amend section 3, as follows;

On line 5, strike out all of said section after the word
"the, " and insert as follows: ''Sum of five cents for index-
ing each will or other instrument required to be indexed
by him by this Act; provided, that not more than $2. 50
be levied for said purpose in any one year. "

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to
Article 10, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Dor-
chester County, ' sub-title 'Fish, ' to follow section 185 B,
as enacted by chapter 80, of the Acts of 1892, and to be
designated as 'Section 185 C. "

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to change the name of
Parsons' Creek Election District of Dorchester county, to
that of Taylor's Island Election District of Dorchester
county. "

Mr. Duncan, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably, with request that same be sent to the Committee on
Temperance,

House bill entitled "An Act to prohibit the issuing of
any license for the sale of any spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer within three thousand feet of the
public school situated at the junction of the Liberty Pike
