CHAPTER 4.
AN ACT to repeal Section one hundred and sixty-four of Arti-
cle 4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City
of Baltimore," the subject of said section relating to the
imposition of State taxes by the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore, and to provide for the imposition and collec-
tion of said taxes by said Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section one hundred and sixty-four of Article
4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, said section
relating to the imposition of State taxes by the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, be and the same is hereby
repealed.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the imposition and
collection of State taxes by the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore for the year 1900 shall be made and proceeded with
in all respects as if Section one hundred and sixty-four of
Article 4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland had not
been enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 5.
AN ACT to repeal Section three of Chapter four hundred and
ninety seven of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, session of 1898, entitled an "Act to authorize and
direct the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
to build a bridge over Curtis Creek, and also to build a
bridge over Cabin Branch, a tributary of said Curtis Creek,
and to provide by the issuance of bonds the means for
building the same, and making said bridge free for public
travel."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section three of Chapter four hundred and ninety
seven of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
