192 Maryland Ssc. Elinor Trail and Margerett Betty of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland make Oath that they these Deponents togeather with Several other persons being in the room where Alexander Hillous late of this County Merchant deceased lay sick on his bed of which sickness after wards he dyed which was about the 15th. day of September 1690 That then ye said Allexander Hillous did declared it was his desire that mr Michael: Clugston of this County also Merchant would take care of his Estate and Concerns in this County and Province or words to that effect, and to convey it to his wife as should have an opportunity and further these Deponents saith not Sworne before us the 27th of October 1690 Elinor Trail. George: Layfield her Edmund: Howard } Justices. Margeret: M Betty marke Maryland Ssc. To the Worll. Comissioners of Somerset County in Court sitting ~ The humble Petion of Michael: Clugston of this County Mercht. humbly sheweth That whereas Alexander: Hillis, late of this County Merchant deceased, did on his death bed desire your petitioner to take care of his Estate and concerns in this Country and to Send it to his wife. Your petioner therefore prayes, the Court to grant him letters of Administracon that he may be the better enabled to fulfill the request of the deceased and your Petioner as in duty bound shall ever pray &c. Upon which Petion Letters of Admrn. was granted to the abovesd Clugston he giveing Security according to Law. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Appraisers appointed to appraise sd Hillis Estate/ are John: Emmet. & Lawrence Crawford. - - - - - - } and mr. ffrancis: Jenkins. Ordered to Swear sd Appraisers - - - - - - - - ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Maryland Ssc. // By the Comitte September 5th. 1690 Ordered. That the Comissioners of each respective County Court wthin the Province of Maryland do forthwith inspect into and take accot of all Bonds and Recognizances taken before them in Court or otherwise within their sd County for the good behavious and keeping of the Kings peace and such of them as they shall know or be informed of have been broken or violated, to cause prosecution thereof to be made according to law in their sd Court by the Attorney Generall or other officer thereunto lawfully and properly authorized and appointed, as the sd Comissioners shall see fitt and convenient, and upon ye forfeiture or Condemnation of Such Bonds or Recognizances to take & require of such persons new Bonds with Security for their future good behaviour &c according to law.
