COMMISSION FOR THE STUDY OF UNPAID WAGES.

The Governor of Maryland was authorized and directed by Joint
Resolution 16 of the 1937 Legislature to appoint a Commission of
seven members, two from the office of the Commissioner of Labor
and Statistics, two from the list of Justices of the Peace, one to
represent employees, one to represent employers, and one from the
Legal Aid Bureau of Baltimore, to study the question of unpaid wages
in Maryland and the facilities, if any, existing for their collection
and to determine the need for legislation on this subject and whether
further facilities should be made available for assistance in collection
of wages in the office of the Commissioner of Labor and Statistics or
in the Courts of the State, and to study generally the facilities in the
office of the Commissioner of Labor and Statistics for the enforcement
and administration of industrial legislation, and to report to the
Governor on or before November 16, 1&38.

COMMITTEE FOR INVESTIGATION OF RULES AND REGULA-
TIONS RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN
MARYLAND.

(Senate Resolution I—Special Session of 1937.)

Recognizing the lack of uniformity in the laws relating to the
licensing and regulation of the manufacture, sale and distribution
of alcoholic beverages in this State, this resolution was adopted by the
Senate and the Governor was requested thereby to appoint a Committee
consisting of five persons, one to represent the State Law Department,
