128 MARYLAND MANUAL

The practice of psychology in Maryland is regulated by the State
Board of Examiners of Psychologists, which consists of five mem-
bers appointed by the Governor from a list of nominees presented
by the Maryland Psychological Association, Inc., with the advice and
consent of the Senate of Maryland. (Code 1951, 1957 supp., Art. 43,
secs. 577-603).

The Board evaluates the professional training, experience, and
other qualifications of psychologists in the State and issues certifi-
cates to those who fulfill the requirements. The certificates expire
on March 31 of each year and must be renewed annually. The Board
administers examinations to qualified applicants for certification at
least once each year. During the month of June of each year, the
Board publishes a complete roster of certified psychologists in the
State.
