One South Calvert Street, Baltimore 21202 Telephone: 383-2447 The State Board of Registration for Foresters, created by Chapter 638, Acts of 1972, examines lisenses and registers persons wishing to engage in the practice of forestry in Maryland. The Board consists of five members, all of whom must be profes- sional foresters appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate for five-year terms. Members must all be Registered Professional Foresters and are appointed from a list of ten nominees recommended by the Maryland Chapter, Society of American For- esters. All must have engaged in the practice of forestry for at least ten years prior to their appointment. The Board selects its own officers. The Board was assigned to the Department of Licensing and Regu- lation by section 5, Chapter 4, Acts of the Special Session of 1973, effective January 1, 1974 (Code 1957, 1970 Repl. One South Calvert Street, Baltimore 21202 Telephone: 383-2446 The Board of Examiners for Hearing Aid Dealers, created by Chap- ter 634, Acts of 1969, consists of five members appointed by the Gov- ernor with the advice and consent of the Senate for five-year terms. The Governor designates the Chairman. One member must be licensed to practice medicine in Maryland and hold a certificate of qualification from the American Board of Otolaryngology. One member must hold a certificate of competence in audiology from the American Speech and Hearing Association and have had at least four years of paid work experience in audiology prior to his appointment. The remaining three members must be persons experienced in the sale of hearing aids and be recommended by the Maryland members of the Hearing Aid Dealers Association of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Delaware. The Board registers and regulates persons furnishing hearing aids. It also tests audiometric testing equipment and inspects the facilities of persons who practice the fitting of hearing aids (Code 1957, 1971 Repl. Vol., Art. 43, sees. 725-742).
