granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to amend Article 28,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commis-
sioners," by adding the following sections.

Which was read the first time.
Said bill was then read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6 of Article 83 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Exemption from
Execution" and to re-enact the same so as to read as follows,
reported it with the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

1st. Strike out the 1st section and insert the following as
section 1st:

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
section six of the Act of 1861, entitled an Act to amend the
eighty-third Article of the Code of Public General Laws by
exempting a certain amount of property from execution, be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read
as follows.

2d. Strike out title and insert the following as title to

the bill:

 
An Act to amend the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-
one, chapter eight, relating to exemption of property from
execution.

Which were severally read and adopted.
The sections, as amended, were then read and adopted.
Said bill was then read the second time.
Mr. Snyder submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 18,1870.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message, asking the appointment
of a Committee of Conference to take into consideration the
amendments proposed to the House bill in relation to the
Franklin Bank, and concur therein.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Kimmel and Snyder.
By order,
AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.
