Which was read a first time.

Mr. Veitch, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Montgomery county, to repair the old Jail, or to
build a new one, in their discretion, and to levy a tax upon
the assessable property of said county to pay for the same.

Which was read a first time.

Also,

A bill entitled on Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Montgomery county, to add addi-
tional buildings to the Almshouse of said county, and to levy
a tax upon the assessable property of said county to pay for
the same.

Which was read a first time.

Mr Harrington, Chairman of a Select Committee, report-
ed favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to change the name of the town of
Tobacco Stick, in the fourth election district of Dorchester
county, to that of Bloomington.

Which was read a first time,

Mr. Wiley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 861, of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of Balti-
more," sub-title "Streets," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel, Chairman of a Select
Committee reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Sweetzer Bridge
Company, and Richard S. Stewart, and authorizing the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county to correct
the errors in the assessment of their property.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Markland, Chairman of the Committee on Wild Fowl,
reported favorably from the majority of the Committee,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 6, 7 and 8, of
Article 98, of Public General Laws, entitled "Wild Fowl,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time, and ordered to be printed.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act passed March 30,
