TUESDAY, March 26, 1872.
The House met,
Present at the call of the roll, the following members:
Messrs. German, Speaker, Colton, of St. Mary's, Dunbar,
Winner, Hurtt, Wells, Duvall, 'Henkle, Bond, Sparrow,
Chapman, Shipley, Turner, Foard, of Baltimore county,
Litzinger, Spencer, Butler, Goldsborough, Waller,
Dougherty, 'Smith, Vickers, Radcliffe, Groome, Mearns,
Penington, Scott, Sasscer, Bowie, Eareckson, Ford,
of Queen Anne's, Franklin, Parker, Rowe, Del-
aplane, Miller, Routzahn, ' Riley, Street!;, Hardcastle,
Deweese, McCosker, Hamilton, T. H., Cooper, Hamilton,
O. R , Jamart, Foster, Staylor, Stewart, Travers , Clark, of
Baltimore City, Colton, of Baltimore City, Kirk, Chaisty,
Harig, Feig, McColgan, Markland, Griswold, Young, of
Washington, Ardinger, Newcomer, Whitson, Hilton,
Riggs, dark, of Montgomery, Porter, Coles, Young, of
Allegany, Robinette, Steele, Lamotte, L. A. J., Polk,
Lamotte, H. H., Linthicum, Johnson, Langrell—77.
Mr. Penington presented the protest of William Knight,
and forty other residents of the First District, against the
transfer of the (68,000 from the Elkton and Massey Railroad to the Elkton and Middletown Railroad.
Also,
The protest of George Biddle, Richard Oldham, J. O. Cruikshank, and one hundred and five others, against the transfer
of the State appropriation of $58,000 from the Elkton and
Massey Railroad to the Middletown and Elkton Railroad.
Which were severally read, and referred to the Cecil dele-
gation.
Mr. Griswold submitted the following
REPORT.
