The Senate bill, entitled an Act to incorporate the Real Estate Bank of Baltimore, Being on its second reading, Mr. Timmons submitted the following amendment: Line 11, after the words "personal property," strike out to the words "secure depositors," in line 12. Which was adopted. Mr. Fields submitted the following amendment: Insert after the word property, "at the rate of six per cent. per annum." Which was adopted. Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and or- dered to be engrossed for a third reading. The Senate bill, entitled an Act for the more strict com- pliance of the State of Maryland with the provisions of an Act of Congress, approved July 2, 1862, entitled an Act do- nating public lands to the several States and Territories, which may provide colleges for the benefit of Agriculture and the Mechanics Arts. Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading, as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Longwell, Blake, Stephenson, Compton, Spates, .
