And whereupon rhe said Alexander by Peter Dent his Attorney Complains that whereas the sd Peter the 11th
day of Decemr in the yeare of our Lord 1690. at Pocomoke, within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted
to the sd Alexander in the sum of five pair of mens plaine shoos and fourteen pounds of Pork, being for one hat

and one quire of paper by the sd Alexander to the said Peter by the sd Alexander sold & delivered and the sd Peter
to the sd Alexander in manner asd being indebted did assume upon him self & to the sd Alexander, then & there faithfully
promise that he the sd Peter the sd five pairs of shoos & fourteen pounds of Porke to the sd Alexander when he should
be thereunto requested would well and truly content & pay. Nevertheless the sd Peter his promise & assumption aforesd
not regarding but minding & fraudulently intending the sd Alexander in this behalfe to deceive & defraud the said
five paire of shoos & fourteen pounds of Porke to the sd Alexander hath not paid although often demanded but
hath
hitherto refused,and doth still refuse to the damage of the sd Alexander of 800:Pounds of tobacco,& thereof he brings
his Suite &c. Dent pr Quer Plegs &c. John Doe
