A proclamation issued the 28th March
1643, for the Freemen to be at a General
Assembly at St. Mary's on the 3d April following. But it does not
appear, by
any record, whether they met accordingly, or what their proceedings (if
any)
were. |
1644. |
A proclamation issued the 16th November
1644, for holding a General Assembly,
and summoning all Freemen inhabiting within the Province to be at the said
Assembly, either by themselves, or their Proxies or Burgesses, to consult
and
advise, &c. at St. Mary's, on Tuesday the 3d December following.
The Secretary
was authorised (in case of the governor's absence at St. Mary's on the
said 3d
of December) to prorogue it to such further day, as he should think fit.
But no
record appears of their meeting, proceedings, or prorogation, in pursuance
of
the above-mentioned authority. |

then remaining upon Record with the Secretary, and confirms the same 'til
a
further settlement therein.
And no other traces of the acts or proceedings of this
session appear upon
record. |
