APPENDIX——RESOLUTIONS.
No. 20.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
pay to William
Kilty, Esquire, chancellor of Maryland, or to his order, the
sum of sixteen hundred dollars, as a compensation for his skill,
labour, time and attention, bestowed on the work mentioned in his
memorial, and his report to the legislature, in obedience to a resolution
of the general assembly at the last session; provided always,
that before any part of the above-mentioned sum of money be
paid, the said William Kilty, Esquire, shall secure the copy right
of said work, and assign the same to the state of Maryland. |

to be printed. |
No. 21.
RESOLVED, That the governor and council be authorised
and requested
to have printed for the use of the state, one thousand copies
of the report made by the chancellor at the present session, of
the English statutes and those of Great-Britain, and that they be
empowered to direct such alterations in the arrangement of the
matter therein contained as they may judge necessary, in order to
have the said printing done on the most reasonable terms. |

RESOLVED, That John Chandler print the Laws and
Votes and
Proceedings of the General Assembly, and perform such other services
as have been usually performed by the printer employed by
the state, or may be required by the legislature, or either branch
thereof, or by the governor and the council. |

No. 2.
RESOLVED, That the half pay of a sergeant granted
by the legislature
to Thomas King, in June session eighteen hundred and
nine, for the support of his family, be henceforth paid by the treasurer,
in quarterly payments, to his wife Mary King. |

Relative to purchase
of Maxey's
laws of Maryland. |
No. 3.
RESOLVED, That the governor and council be requested
to procure
immediately, for the use of the general assembly of Maryland,
nine sets of Maxey's edition of the laws of Maryland, and to draw
on the treasurer of the western shore for the price of the same. |

No. 5.
RESOLVED, That the governor and council be requested
to furnish,
for the use of the general assembly of Maryland, nine copies
of Kilty's Reports of the English Statutes. |

Watters. |
No. 6.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
be and he
is hereby directed to receive from Robert Watters, the sum of forty
three pounds ten shillings, being the valuation made under the direction
of the executive, of the surplus land included in the said
Watters' certificate of resurvey, called "Bourbon;" and that the
said treasurer give the said Robert Watters a receipt for the same;
upon which it shall be lawful for the register of the land-office for
the western shore, and he is hereby directed, under the direction of
the chancellor, to grant a patent to the said Robert Watters, on
the said certificate called "Bourbon," he paying the fees accruing
thereon. |
