                                WILLIAM PACA, Esq; Governor.

    III.  And be it enacted, That the power of regulating ordinaries and retailers
of spirituous liquors within the said city and precincts thereof, shall be hereafter
vested in the said corporation and their successors, and the mayor's court of the
said city only shall hereafter grant licences to ordinary-keepers and retailers of
spirituous liquors within the said city and its precincts, under such regulations
and rules as the said corporation and their successors may make; and the said
corporation and their successors may reserve and lay such fine on every licence
granted by the said mayor's court to any ordinary-keeper or retailer of spirituous
liquors within the said city and its precincts.

XLIX.
Regular ordinaries,
&c.

    IV.  And be it enacted, That the monies arising from said tax, and from the
fines, and for licences to ordinary-keepers and other retailers of spirituous liquors,
levied or imposed in virtue of this act, shall be appropriated and applied by the
corporation of the said city to defray the usual and ordinary expences thereof, and
the amending and keeping in repair the streets of the said city, and the cleaning
out the dock, and the building a market-house, and to such other uses as the
said corporation may judge most for the benefit and advantage of the said city.
How money
is to be appropriated,
&c.
    V.  This act to continue and be in force for and during the term of ten years,
and until the end of the next session of assembly which shall happen thereafter.

An ACT for the relief of Peregrine Fitzhugh and Elizabeth his wife. PR.
                                            CHAP. LI.
A Bill, entitled, An ACT to enable Sarah Parran to dispose of certain lands for
                            the purpose therein mentioned.  PR.
                                            CHAP. LII.
An ACT for the relief of the securities of Simon Nichols, late collector of the
                        public tax for Montgomery county.  PR.
                                            CHAP. LIII.
An ACT for laying out a road to and from the mill-seat of Nicholas Randall,
    on the main falls of Patapsco, Anne-Arundel and Baltimore counties.

    This road is to begin at the road leading to Ellicott's upper mill, at or near Isaac Harlin's, and leading
by Randall's mill-seat to intersect the road leading from Ellicott's lower mill to Baltimore-town, at
or near John Pierpoint's smith's shop.  It shall be a public waggon road, not exceeding 40 feet in width,
and it is to be laid off so as not to go through ay meadow, orchard or garden, without consent of
the owner, by any two of three commissioners named in the act, who are to ascertain the damages, to
be paid by Randall to the persons through whose lands the road shall run.

                                            CHAP. LIV.
An ACT for altering the time of holding the courts in the counties
                                        therein mentioned.
    WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, that the holding
the courts in the counties of Saint-Mary's, Calvert, Charles and
Prince-George's, on the western shore, and Cæcil and Talbot on the
eastern shore, at the time directed by law, is found to be inconvenient,
Preamble.
    II.  Be it enacted, by the general assembly of Maryland, That henceforth the
courts for said counties shall be held on the following days, to wit, in Saint-Mary's
on the Monday before the fourth Tuesday in the month of March, and
on the Monday before the first Tuesdays in the months of June and September;
in Calvert on the Monday before the third Tuesday in April, and on the Monday
before the third Tuesdays in June and September; in Charles on the Monday
before the first Tuesday in April, and on the Monday before the second Tuesdays
in June and September; in Prince-George's on the Monday before the second
Tuesday in April, and on the Monday before the fourth Tuesdays in June and
September; in Cæcil on the Monday before the second Tuesdays in March, June
and October; and in Talbot on the Monday before the first Tuesdays in March,
June and November; and the courts so held shall remain and be subject to the
Days for
