and direction vested in it by law, has determined
and declared that, W. Earle Cobey At Large,
Carl Murphy, At Large, George R. Long, First
Congressional District, Robert Knatz, Jr., Second
Congressional District, George W. Della, Third
Congressional District, R. Emmett Bradley, Fourth
Congressional District, Mrs. Bess B. Lavine, Fifth
Congressional District, Charles B. Huyett, Sixth
Congressional District, and James H. Pollack,
Seventh Congressional District,  having received the
greatest number of votes cast at said election
for nine electors of President and Vice President
of the United States, the same have been, and
are, duly elected such officers.
        Now, Therefore, I, J. Millard Tawes, Governor
of Maryland, in compliance with the authority and
direction contained in Section 57 of Article 41 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), Do
By This My Proclamation Hereby Declare and Proclaim,
that the above named W. Earle Cobey, At Large,
Carl Murphy, At Large, George R. Long, First Congressional
District, George W. Della, Third Congressional District,
R. Emmet Bradley, Fourth Congressional District, Mrs.
Bess B. Lavine, Fifth Congressional District, Charles
B. Huyett, Sixth Congressional District, and James H.
Pollack, Seventh Congressional District, are the duly
elected Electors of President and Vice President
of the United States for the State of Maryland.
