Judge of the District Court of the United States, was read and adopted.

            To the Honorable, The President of the Senate of the United
States of America.
            We the undersigned duly elected Electors of President
and Vice President of the United States of America, in and for the
State of Maryland, as will fully appear by reference to the annexed
document, being the certificate furnished by the Executive Authority
of the State of Maryland, do hereby certify that on the First Wednesday
in December, in the year one Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty
two, are met at the City of Annapolis in said State, being the place
where by the Laws of the State of Maryland, the Electors of President
and Vice President of the United States, on the part of the said State are
directed to meet to perform the Trust reposed in them, and that
then and there, having duly organized, the following persons were
put in nomination for President of the United States for the four
years from and after the Third day of March next ensuing.  Viz:
                                Henry Clay, of the State of Kentucky,
                                                        And
                                Andrew Jackson, of the State of Tennessee:
            And that the following persons were put in nomination for Vice
President of the United States of America, for the four years from
and after the Third day of March next ensuing, viz:
                                John Sergeant of the State of Pennsylvania.
                                                        And
                               Martin Van Buren, of the State of New York.
    That we then and there, in pursuance of the Constitution and Laws
of the United States of America, proceeded to vote by ballots for
President of the United States of AMerica.  That upon counting
the ballots it was ascertained, that
                                Henry Clay,
of the State of Kentucky had Five votes for President of the United
States of America:  And that
                                Andrew Jackson,
of the State of Tennessee had Three votes for President of the United
States of America.
    That we then proceeded to vote by district ballots for
Vice President of the United States of America; that upon counting
the ballots, ti was ascertained, That
                                John Sergeant,
of the State of Pennsylvania had Five votes for Vice President
of the United States of America; And that,
