The following communications which had been received
from His Excellency, Governor Whyte, by the hands of the
Hon. Richard C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, were read :

I herewith transmit to you a list of Executive appointments
made for State Officers, during the recess of the Legislature.

1872.

April 24.—George F. Bevan, Caroline county, State School
Commissioner.

April 24.—Dr. Samuel Keppler, Baltimore county, State
School Commissioner.

April 24.—George M. Lloyd, Charles county, State School
Commissioner.

April 24.—Peter A. Whitmer, Washington county, State
School Commissioner.

April 24.—Edgar Pummer, Caroline county, Weigher Gen-
eral of Grain in Baltimore city.
