The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
audit and settle the claims for pensions of Elizabeth E.
Shanks and Mary Cullender, of St. Mary's county.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 94, 95 and 96j
of Article 21, Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington
County," and relating to "Fences."

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 138, of Article
16, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery,"
sub-title "Trustee," as enacted by chapter 370, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January
session, in the year 1870, and to re-enact the said section
with amendments.

Also,

The bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to
incorporate, a Company to make a Turnpike Road from Hagers-
town, in Washington county, to the Pennsylvania line,
passed at December session, 1846, chapter 333, and to an Act
entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to incorpo-
rate a Company to make a Turnpike Road from Hagerstown,
in Washington county, to the Pennsylvania line, passed at
the January session, 1865, chapter 260.

The Speaker of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing Address:

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

The time has arrived when, by the Constitution, we are
required to close our labors, and I cannot permit the adjourn-
ment sine, die to take place without expressing to you my
heartfelt gratitude for the uniform kindness and indulgence
which this House has shown me throughout the entire session.

Called to this position without any legislative experience,
I needed, as I have received, your leniency and forbearance,
