CHAPTER 467.

 

AN ACT to provide for the support and treatment

 

of indigent patients in the Baltimore Ej e and Ear

 

Institute of Baltimore city, and the Maryland Eye

 

and Ear Institute.

 

WHEREAS, Thomas Swann, Julian J. Chisolm,

Preamble

Andrew Reid, George Guest, James Hodges, Samuel
H. Tagart, Bernard Carter and Douglas H. Gordon,

 

have, under and by virtue of the General Laws of

 

the State of Maryland authorizing the Foundation of

 

corporations, formed a corporation under the name

 

of the Baltimore Eye and Ear Institute of Baltimore

 

city, and have established an infirmary in the City

 

of Baltimore, for the purpose of treating the diseases

 

of the eye and ear, whereof Dr. Julian J. Chisolm,

 

professor of the eye and ear diseases in the Uni-

 

versity of Maryland, is the surgeon in charge ; and —

Preamble

WHEREAS, The Maryland Eye and Ear Institute,

 

under the management of Professor George lieuling,

 

has been well and firmly established in 'the City of

 

Baltimore; and —

 

WHEREAS, It is desirable that the benefits of the

State of Maryland, who are suffering from diseases

 

of the eye and ear, curable by surgical treatment;
