priated out of any moneys in the Treasury not

SEC. 36. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 515.

 

AN ACT a supplement to an act entitled an act to

 

incorporate a company to make a turnpike road

 

from Hagerstown, in Washington county, to the

 

Pennsylvania Line, passed December session,

 

eighteen hundred and forty-six, chapter three

 

hundred and thirty-three; and to an act entitled

 

a supplement to an act entitled an act to incor-

 

porate a company to make a turnpike road from

 

Hagerstown, in Washington county, to the Penn-

 

sylvania Line, passed January session, eighteen

 

hundred and sixty-five, chapter two hundred.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Authorized to
erect a toll-gate

Maryland, That from and after the passage of this

 

act, it shall be lawful for the Hagerstown and

 

Waynesboro Turnpike Company to erect upon their

 

road a toll-gate, at any point on said road not nearer

 

than one mile to the town of Hagerstown ; and they

 

are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to

 

remove the toll-gate now situated two miles north-

 

east of Hagerstown on their said road, should they

 

at any time avail themselves of the privileges and

 

powers contained in this section of this act.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Legislature

Reserves

reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or repeal

 

this act at pleasure.
