CHAPTER 156.

CHAP. 156.

A supplement to the act, entitled, An act to distribute the School :
Fund in Montgomery county.

Passed Mar.2, 1832

Section 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the levy court of Montgomery county be, and
they are hereby empowered and authorised, to draw from
year to year, on the treasurer of the western shore, and the
treasurer is hereby required to pay to their order, the pro-
portion of the school fund to which said county is or here-
after may be entitled.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court of said
county shall, from time to lime, as such monies come to
their hands, distribute the same in the manner it has hereto-
fore been distributed, to the several commissioners of said
county, to be disposed of according to law, the said levy
court taking the receipts of said commissioners therefor.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall hereafter report to the levy court, on the first Monday
in July, of each and every year, a list or lists of the proper
objects of tuition, designating the age, and sex, as provided
for in the third and fifth sections of the act to which this is a
supplement; and that it shall be the duty of said commission-
ers to fill, forthwith, all vacancies that may occur in said
list or lists, by any cause whatsoever, and report the same
to the levy court at the next annual July session thereof.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall, from time to time, as required by the levy court, re-
port an accurate account of the manner in which they have
expended or disposed of said monies; and the vouchers of
their expenditures shall be on oath, and shall be safely kept
on file by the said levy court.

Sec. 5. And bs it enacted, That the said commissioners
shall be accountable to the aforesaid levy court, in an actoin
or actions, to be brought by and in the name of the levy
court, in Montgomery county court, or before a justice of
the peace, as the case may require, for any misfeasance or
malfeasance in any duties imposed upon them by this act,
or by the original act, to which this is a supplement

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the clerk of Montgomery
county court, shall perform all such services as he may be
required and directed, by the levy court of said county to
perform, in virtue of this act, without fee or reward, and he
shall keep in a well bound book or books, to be provided
for the purpose, by order of the said levy court, fair and
correct accounts and statements of the proceedings of said
