THE following Report of the Comptroller of the Treasury,
is made in obedience to the requirements of the Constitution,
Article VI, Section 2, and of the Code of Public General
Laws, Article XXII, Section 9.

The Receipts of the Treasury for the fiscal year ended Sep-
tember 30th, 1863, as will appear in detail in Statement A.
of the Appendix to this Report, amounted to the sum of
$1,870,105 72, all of which was from the ordinary sources of
revenue, and exceeds the receipts from similar sources of the
preceding year by the sum of $220,129 60, viz :

The sum received in the fiscal year lately closed, is greater
than ever before received from ordinary sources, and when
added to the balance remaining in the Treasury proper,
September 30, 1862, of $446,749 19, made the whole sum
