STATE OF MARYLAND.

TREASURY DEPARTMENT, COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE,

ANNAPOLIS, January 7th, 1896.
To the Honorable the General Assembly of Maryland:

In obedience to the constitution and laws of the State, I
respectfully submit the following report of the financial condi-
tion of the Treasury Department at the close of the fiscal year
ended September 30th, 1895:

RECEIPTS.

The total receipts from all sources during the fiscal year
amounted to $2,609,244.09, as given in detail in Statement
"A," in the first appendix of this report, which, added to the
balance in the Treasury at the end of the fiscal year 1894, viz :
$550,074.47, makes the total amount in the Treasury during
the fiscal year 1895 to be $3,159.318.56.
