TREASURY DEPARTMENT, COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE,

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND, DECEMBER 18, 1919.

To THE HONORABLE,

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND:

I am herewith submitting my report for the fiscal
year ending September 30, 1919.

There was in the Treasury on that date, $3,018,617,22.
The amount of money due to ''Dedicated Funds" was
$1,727,549.12, and the surplus or "free money" in the
Treasury, belonging to "General Funds" was $1,291,-
068.10. Balances carried down to credit of sundry ac-
counts, $515,375.77, leaving a balance in general funds,
unobligated, $775,692.33.

I am respectfully calling your attention to Statement
" E," showing the amount of Bonds purchased during the
fiscal year for the several Sinking Funds, aggregating
