tanks. They possess greater gun range and fire power, are faster and have
tougher armor. The same with American planes. There are no better light
or medium bombers than America's; the Flying Fortresses, despite early
criticism, have given a splendid account of themselves over Germany as well
as on far Eastern and Pacific fronts. America's newest fighting plane, the
P-47, is the equal of any.

It war never the American way to sit idly by, waiting for things to
happen. Now, beyond a doubt, the waiting period is past. Things are hap-
pening, and America is right in the thick of these far-reaching events. When
America realty gets wrought up, and starts to move, something is bound to
crack. And that is the story of the war at the present time.

The Solomons are, of course, only the beginning. With this move, how-
ever, there is vastly improved opportunity for American initiative against
all Japan's outposts. Because of America's industrial power, the United
Nations are waxing stronger and Japan is losing ground. Don't be surprised
if Japan is. bombed again - soon and often. Don't be surprised if Germany
soon is subjected to punishment such as no country in history has ever suffered.

America is under way! And, as George Cohan so aptly expressed it
in the stirring days of World War One, "We won't come back, "til it's over
over there"!!!!
