CHAPTER 60.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "How-
ard County", sub-title "Stream Pollution", said new section
to be known as Section 299, and to follow immediately after
Section 298 of said Article, to forbid placing of inflammable
substances in or within a certain distance of the stream
Tiber in Howard County and providing a penalty for the
violation thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Howard County", sub-title "Stream Pollution",
said new section to be known as Section 299, to follow im-
mediately after Section 298 of said Article, and to read as
follows:

299. It shall be unlawful to place, throw, dump, pour or
drain any inflammable substance, solid or liquid, into the
stream Tiber, running through Ellicott City, or upon either
bank thereof at any point within twenty (20) feet of said
stream. Any person, partnership, association, or body cor-
porate violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction before a Justice of the
Peace of Howard County, shall be subject to a fine of not more
than Fifty Dollars ($50. ) for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 61.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 154A
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935
Supplement), title "Licenses", sub-title "Boxing, Sparring
and Wrestling", to exempt interscholastic boxing held or
given under the auspices of high schools.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 154A of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Licenses", sub-title
"Boxing, Sparring and Wrestling", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:
