ing; 78 fragmentary index; entries from 1647 to 1651;
contains demands, patents, commissions, court rec-
ords, proclamations, assembly proceedings.

Labor 3—photocopy of "Liber No. 3 Transcribed from old Liber A
beginning at fol. 340 to the End and Old Liber B from
fol. 240 [sic] to the End" 1725; 448 pages; this volume
represents the completion of the copying of Proprietary
Records Liber A begun in Liber 2 and Proprietary
Records Liber B begun in Liber 1.

Liber 4—photocopy of Liber "A B & H, transcribed from the old
record books A, B and H" in 1717; 437 pages; pagina-

3 parts corresponding to the 3 books copied from: 1) pp.
1-57, containing warrants, demands, certificates, patents
and assignments from 1646 to 1650, which constitute
an extract of all land business scattered throughout
Liber A plus one entry at the very beginning which does

containing entries from 1639 to 1644 of land transac-

says) 3) pp. 105-436, containing demands, proofs of
rights, warrants, certificates, patents and assignments
from the years 1650 to 1655; presumably a copy of
original Liber H which according to the 1680 list
covered the years 1650 to 1655. ™ The last page of this
volume contains "an Abstract of the Certificates that
were in the Land Record Liber L", "an old thin Parch-
ment Covered Book", most of them being from the year
1657 or a few years earlier thus corresponding to the
Liber U of the 1680 list.

Liber 3—photocopy of a copy transcribed probably in 171780 from
original Liber Q; 81 480 numbered pages; pagination of
original not kept; index; entries for 1658; contains

78 In the original 58 pages are missing, but. 57-8 are to be found in the
Liber 2 copy.

79 Apparently some pages are missing. The first entry is referred to in

Rent Rolls O, p. 108 as being on p. 3 of "Record for land for 1650"

(Liber H).
80 The inscription on the flyleaf "This book is Transcribed from the Old

Record Book Liber Q" is in the same hand as the parallel inscription in

Liber 4, done in 1717.
81 The original is extant but almost half missing, beginning with what is
