the clerks of the county courts were empowered to perform the necessary
duties. For this reason, there is a gap in the proceedings of the Pre-
rogative Court from 1689 to 1692. After the Prerogative Court was re-
established, the county clerks were ordered to make a transcript of all
the probate proceedings entered in their records during the period in
question and send it to the Prerogative Office.

54 Note that this liber should precede No. 15A.
