EXECUTIVE ORDERS

PROCLAIM THE FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE ORDER AMENDING
EXECUTIVE ORDER 01.01.1988.07:

A. The advisory Council. There is a Governor's Construction Industry
Employer's Advisory Council.

B. Membership and Procedures.

(1) The Advisory Council shall consist of up to [fifteen (15)]
SEVENTEEN (17) members appointed by the Governor. Each appointee shall be
a citizen and a registered voter in Maryland.

(2) The composition of the Advisory Council shall fairly reflect the
geography of Maryland, the population of Maryland, the minority and female
composition of the Maryland construction industry and the size and type of
employment provided.

(3) The following shall be members ex officio:

(a) Secretary, Department of General Services;

(b) Secretary, Department of Licensing and Regulation;
(c) Secretary, Department of Natural Resources;

(d) Secretary, Department of State Planning;

(e) Secretary, Department of Economic and Employment
Development;

(f) Secretary, Department of Housing and Community Development;
[and]

(g) Commissioner, Labor and Industry[.];

(H) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF EMPLOYMENT AND
TRAINING; AND

(I) EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, STATE COUNCIL ON
VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL EDUCATION.

(4) The Governor shall appoint the Chairperson of the Advisory Council.

(5) The Governor may remove any member of the Council for any cause
adversely affecting the member's ability or willingness to perform his or her
duties.

(6) In the event of a vacancy, the Governor shall appoint a successor for
the remainder of the life of the Advisory Council.

(7) A majority of the Advisory Council shall constitute a quorum for the
transaction of any business. The Advisory Council may adopt such other
procedures necessary to ensure the orderly transaction of business.
