(House Bill 211)

AN ACT concerning

Butterfish - Size Limits

FOR the purpose of repealing the minimum size limit for the species of fish known as
butterfish.

BY repealing

Article - Natural Resources
Section 4-734(a)(2)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1989 Replacement Volume)

BY renumbering

Article - Natural Resources

Section 4-734(a)(3) through (13), respectively

to be Section 4-734(a)(2) through (12), respectively

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-734.

(a) A person may not sell, offer to buy or sell, or possess any of the following
fish:

[(2) Butterfish less than 6 inches;]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 4-734(a)(3)
through (13), respectively, of Article - Natural Resources of the Annotated Code of
Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 4-734(a)(2) through (12), respectively.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1990.
